Frequently Asked Questions about our Taxi Service

What areas do you cover?

We offer taxi cab and private car hire airport transfers services in Ringwood, Hampshire, Bournemouth, Wimborne. Christchurch.

Can you pick me up from an airport?

Yes, Apollo Private hire can pick you up from all local airports.

When will my taxi be dispatched?

For an immediate pickup, we will dispatch your driver as soon as a taxi has become available. For a pre-booked pickup, your driver will be dispatched, based on your requested pick up time or flight time to ensure that your taxi is there to meet you on time.

Will I know the name and phone number of my driver?

We will email, phone or text you the name and mobile phone contact details for your driver at least 24 hours before travel time.

Will your taxi driver have my full booking details?

Our driver will have your full address, destination, phone contact details and any extra driver notes required. 

Can I pre-pay the fixed price for my airport taxi by credit card?

Yes, we welcome pre-payment by credit card, will be the current advertised credit card fixed price.  Please phone our airport booking line. 

Is there an extra charge for additional pick-ups en-route to the airport?

Yes.  Please advise us of all extra pick-ups when you book. 

How long will my journey to the airport take?

We will always endeavour to get you to the airport in time. Please advise us of your departure times at the time of booking. The journey time will also depend on the day of week, time of day and traffic conditions.

What is your credit card refund/cancellation policy?

Cancellations must be received 48 hours before your travel time to claim a refund.  No refund is offered in "customer no show" situations. For cancellations received earlier than 48 hours before travel time, we are happy to refund the fixed credit card price less our standard admin fee.

Do your drivers have credit card terminals in their taxis?

No.  If you would like to pay by card, please let us know us when booking your taxi. 

How much does waiting time cost on fixed price jobs?

Our under-the-meter fixed prices do not include waiting time.  Waiting time on fixed price jobs is charged at 40 pence per minute.

Can I get a receipt for my airport journey from the driver?

YES.  For cash or credit card journeys pre-booked via our office receipts are available on request. 

How many people can fit into one of your taxis?

We have vehicles licensed to carry up to eight people with luggage. Please advise us of the number of people travelling and how much luggage there will be so that we can send the most suitable vehicle. 

Is there an extra charge for more than one person?

NO. A saloon car, which carries 1-4 passengers, will cost the same for 4 people as it does for 1.

Do you supply saloon cars?

Yes, we have a range of cars from Saloons to MPV’s. Please advise us of the number of people travelling so that we can send the most suitable vehicle.  

Is there a charge for luggage?

NO. 

Are your drivers able to assist me with luggage?

YES - all our drivers aim to be as helpful as possible, which of course includes helping you with your luggage.
